Instructions: Cream sugar and Crisco, add eggs, beat until smooth, then add buttermilk/soda/vanilla alternating with the flour. Beat until smooth. Stir in grated lemon rind. Pour in pan and bake.

This is a very thick batter and you will have to spoon the mixture into the bundt pan.

Serve hot, with cream or fresh fruit
