Yield:
12 Servings
Ingredients:
Amount Ingredient
1 doz ripe peaches, sliced, (*) see note
2 cup Flour
1 cup Sugar
1 cup Butter or margarine, melted
2 tsp Baking powder
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Vanilla
1 cup Milk
----------------- SUGAR WATER GLAZE ----------------
1 cup Sugar
Instructions:
Instructions: Preheat the oven to 350 F. Slice the peaches into the bottom of a 9 13-inch baking pan. Mix together the flour, sugar, melted butter or margarine, baking powder, salt, vanilla and milk. Pour this mixture evenly over the sliced peaches. In a measuring cup, mix together the sugar and water and pour this mixture over the batter. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream.

NOTES : (*) Depending on the size of the peaches you may need more or less.

You want the layer of peaches to be thick. I have never used canned peaches with this recipe, so I cannot tell you how well it will work. I halve this recipe for our family of 4.
