300 gm red Patni rice or any red rice
900 ml water
2 tsp ghee
Instructions:
Instructions: Mix the rice and water and bring to the boil.

Reduce the heat and simmer until the rice is very soft.

It will be fairly liquid.

Add salt and serve hot with the ghee poured over.

The soup is a light easily digestible rice dish and can be eaten with any pickle or simple vegetable dish. Made of red rice for added nutrition it is often given to invalids or children.
