1/8 cup Flour 2 c.+2t. unsifted
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Baking soda
12 tbl Butter melted/cooled
1 cup Brown sugar light or dark
1/2 cup Granulated sugar
1 lrg Egg plus
1 x Egg yolk
2 tsp Vanilla extract
Instructions:
Instructions: Turn oven 325 deg and adjust oven racks to upper & lower middle positions.

1. Mix flour & soda in bowl. set aside.

2. mix butter & sugars until thoroughly blended. mix in egg, yolk, & vanilla.

3. add dry ingredients mix until just blended

4. add chips

5. form scant 1/4 cup dough ball. holding ball using fingertips of both hands, pull the ball apart in equal halves. rotate 90 degrees and , with jagged ends up put back together at base to make single cookie. you want the topsuneven ;

6. make about 9 per sheet on parchment paper

7. bake reversing cookie sheets position halfway through baking, until cookies are light golden brown and outer edges start to harden, yet centers are soft & puffy, 15 to 18 min. start checking at 13 min.
