1/3 cup all-purpose flour, sifted
Pinch of salt
Pinch of cayenne pepper or more to taste
3 tbl cold unsalted butter, diced
2/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
Instructions: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a food processor fitted with the steel blade, place the flour, salt, cayenne pepper, butter and Parmesan. Pulse to form a smooth dough.

On a lightly floured work surface, roll out the dough to 1/4 inch thick. Cut out 40 rounds with a 1 1/2 inch pastry cutter or biscuit cutter.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease with shortening.

Place the dough rounds on the baking sheet 3/4 inches apart and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Remove from the refrigerator and bake until golden brown, about 8 minutes.

Remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack.

Use the rounds as a base for your favorite hors doeuvres.
