1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
2 tbl granulated sugar
1/4 cup butter, cut into small pieces (1/2 stick, see note)
1/3 x to 1/2 cup milk
Instructions:
Instructions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In bowl, stir together flour, salt, baking powder and sugar. Cut butter into flour mixture until crumbly. Stir in enough milk to moisten dough. Work in chips.

Pat dough out on floured board to 1 inch thickness. Cut into 6 circles using 2 1/2 inch cutters. Place on parchment paper-lined baking sheet.

Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until baked through and golden brown.

Note: Use real butter or stick margarine. Do not substitute reduced-fat spreads; their higher water content often yields less-satisfactory results.
