Instructions: Heat butter and olive oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. When foam subsides, add onion. Saute over medium heat for 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook 1 minute. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a simmer. Cook for 1 1/2 hours or until thick.
