Instructions: Peel and chop onion.
Dice tomato. Place all ingredients except sugar in a saucepan and heat until boiling. Reduce heat and simmer gently for 45 minutes or until mixture thickens. Stir regularly. Puree in a food processor until smooth. Return to a clean pan. Add sugar, stir until boiling, cook a furthur 30-40 minutes until thick and liquid does not separate from sauce on a plate. Pour into sterilised jars or bottles, cover to make airtight. Keeps for 3-4 months. Ensure storage jars are well sterilised. Email this Recipe:
