Instructions: 1. Cut the tomatoes and mozzarella into fairly thick slices and arrange them alternately on a large plate.
2. Scatter the basil over the top, sprinkle with salt and drizzle with the olive oil. 3. Serve immediately. NOTES : This patriotic salad (the vivid colours of red, white and green representing the Italian flag) is perhaps the simplest and best way to savour the pure natural taste of mozzarella.
