1/2 stk butter, softened
pecan halves
2/3 cup brown sugar
Instructions:
Instructions: 6 Cups apples, sliced, & mixed with 1/2 cup sugar, 2 Tblsp flour, & sprinkled with cinnamon & nutmeg to taste.

Smooth butter around sides & bottom of pie pan. Sprinkle pecans (the more, the merrier!) & brown sugar over butter. (sometimes I add about 3/4 cup of raisins at this point also)

Put on 1 layer of crust, extending 1" beyond edge of pan.

Top with apples mixture & then the 2nd crust.

Prick with a fork.

Bake 10 minutes at 450 degrees, then an additional 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool for a few minutes after removing from oven.

Flip upside down to serve.

Slices may be topped with Cool Whip or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
