1 lb Flour
1/2 tsp Salt
1 tsp Bicarbonate of soda
Instructions:
Instructions: Preheat oven 220 C or 425 F. Mix flour, salt and soda. Stir in the buttermilk and mix to a soft dough. Turn on to a floured worktop and knead quickly and lightly. =46orm the dough into a flat, round cake about 2 in/5cm high and cut a deep cross in it. Put on to a floured baking tray and bake for 30-40 mn or until well risen and lightly browned. When cooked il will sound hollow when tapped on the base. Cool on a wire rack and eat very fresh or freeze it or leftovers.
