Instructions: To make the potatoes: In a 6-cup glass measure, combine the onions and soy sauce. Microwave on High for 3 minutes. Add the potatoes and toss to combine. Cover with wax paper and microwave on High for 4 minutes. Stir, cover again, and microwave on High for 4 minutes. Let stand, covered, until ready to serve.
To make the sausage: In a medium bowl, combine the turkey, egg white, breadcrumbs, sage, coriander, fennel, paprika, black pepper, marjoram, thyme, savory, nutmeg, and red pepper. Mix well. Form into four patties. Place the patties on a baking sheet and broil about 4 inches from the heat for about 4 minutes, or until lightly browned on top. Flip and broil several more minutes to brown. Serve hot with the potatoes. This recipe serves 4. Comments: The meat n potatoes lovers in your household will go for this lowfat version of sausage and home-fries. If you have any leftover sausage, refrigerate or freeze it, then reheat it in the microwave when needed. Thawed patties should take about 1 minute. NOTES : Joes note: One cup of ground turkey doesnt sound like it would feed 4 hungry people. Maybe it should be 1 pound of ground turkey ?? Email this Recipe:
