Instructions: 1.Cover beans with water and bring to a boil on stovetop. Turn off heat and let sit for an hour. Drain.
2.Put drained beans in slow cooker with 8 cups water. 3.Peel and chop turnips to bite-size pieces and place in slow cooker. Fry bacon, drain and put into slow cooker. Saute onions in same pan until limp but not brown. Add to slow cooker. 4.Add tasso and ham. Cook on High for about 5 hours or until beans are tender. Email this Recipe:
