Ingredients:
Amount Ingredient
1/2 cup warm water (105F to 115F)
1 tbl honey
1 pkt dry yeast
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup yellow cornmeal
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 cup nonfat buttermilk
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup to 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, divided
Instructions:
Instructions: Combine first 3 ingredients in a large bowl; let stand 5 minutes. Add whole wheat flour and next 6 ingredients; beat a medium speed of an electric mixer until well blended. Gradually stir in 2 cups all-purpose flour until a soft dough forms.

Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead until smooth and elastic (about 8 minutes); add enough of remaining flour, 1 tablespoon at a time, to prevent dough from sticking to hands. Cover dough; let rest 10 minutes.

Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness, cut into rounds with a 2 1/2-inch biscuit cutter. Place biscuits on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray. Bake at 375F for 22 minutes or until lightly browned.

Yield: 20 biscuits (about 114 calories each)
