Instructions: Stir White Sauce into egg yolks; add vegetables. Season to taste and fold in egg whites. Turn into greased casserole; bake in pan of hot water in moderate oven 325 for 45 to 6o minutes.
Serves 4 to 6. Thick White Sauce: Melt butter ; add flour and blend. Add milk and cook over low heat until thick, stirring constantly. Add salt. For a rich sauce use cream or just before serving, stir in 1 well beaten egg yolk mixed with small amount of hot sauce. Vegetable cooking water may be used as part of the liquid. Email this Recipe:
