Instructions: Cut the bread into 1-inch croutons. Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large nonstick skillet. Add the croutons and cook, turning once, until golden, 5 minutes. Transfer the croutons to a plate lined with paper towels. Set aside.
Place the garlic in the work bowl of a food processor or in a blender. Process, scraping down the sides as needed, until finely chopped. Add the lemon juice, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce and process until smooth. With the motor running, slowly pour the 1/2 cup of olive oil through the feed tube and process until the dressing is smooth. Pour the dressing into a small bowl. Add salt and pepper to taste. Toss the lettuce, dressing, cheese, and croutons together in a large bowl. Mix well. Email this Recipe:
