3 qt Water
3 x Potatoes diced
3 lb Venison shank meat
(or any venison stew meat)
2 x Celery ribs with leaves
1 can Tomatoes - (29 oz)
1 x Venison shank bone sawed in pieces
Salt to taste
Freshly-ground black pepper to taste
1/2 cup Chopped parsley
2 x Beef bouillon cubes (optional)
1/2 tsp Thyme
3 x Carrots cut in chunks
2 x Bay leaves
1 x Onion sliced
Instructions:
Instructions: Boil water, put in meat, bone, and bouillon cubes. Bring to a boil, and cook for 2 1/2 hours. When cooled discard the congealed fat. Bring broth to boil again. Add the vegetables, salt, pepper, and the herbs and simmer covered for 20 to 30 minutes depending on how large the carrot and/or potato chunks have been cut.

This recipe yields 4 to 6 servings.
