This js a home made "fortified" wine from the south of France where it may be served as an aperitif approx refreshing over ice in summer and warrning sipped at room temperature in winter. There are a huge number of variations on the basic theme. Most of the recipes Ive found use eau de vie but you could also use armagnac or brandy even vodka. Other flavourings approx cinnamon sticks cloves vanilla approx can also come into play to create your own personalised recipe.
