Instructions: Cream the butter and sugar well, together. Then add the milk with baking soda; immediately stir in a little flour, then a little egg white, alternately, till all flour and egg are added.
Take another bowl and put in the pink sugar, baking soda, sour milk and flour. Flavor this pink batter with any flavoring you wish. Add the raisins that have been floured. Spread bottom and sides of your cake pan with the white batter; fill up with the pink, save enough of the white to cover over the top. Bake in moderate oven till done at 350-375 degrees for 20-30 minutes. French Frosting: Beat all together well. Apply to half cooled cake with pastry brush. Set in a cool oven to dry the icing.
