1 cup raisins
1/2 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 cup butter or Crisco
1 x egg
Instructions:
Instructions: Break the egg into a measuring cup, beat well and add enough milk to equal 1/2 cup.

Cook raisins in hot water for a few minutes. Sieve; pour cold water over.

Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg, and butter in a bowl. Mix like crust. Add egg and milk mixture slowly to mixture (sometimes add 1 or 2 more tablespoons milk). Add raisins. Drop by spoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at
375 to 400 degrees for 10 minutes. (Bake at 350 to 375 degrees to prevent burning on bottom.)
