6 med -size baking potatoes
vegetables shortening
1/3 cup milk
3 tbl butter
1 tsp salt
Instructions:
Instructions: Scrub potatoes with a stiff brush under cold running water; rub skins lightly with shortening. Prick with a two-tined fork and place on a cookie sheet or baking pan. Bake in hot oven (400F) 1 hour or until potatoes are tender when pierced with two-tined fork.

Soften potatoes by pressing skin with a pot holder; make a slit in top of skin and scoop out potato into a medium-size saucepan. Add milk, butter, salt and pepper to saucepan. Bring mixture to boiling; remove from heat; mash with potato masher until light and fluffy. Spoon back into potato shells. Serve immediately or keep warm in a very low oven.
