1 cup milk
1/2 tsp salt
Instructions:
Instructions: Melt butter, blend in flour, remover from heat and stir in milk. Cook over med heat until thickened. Stirring constantly. Stir in salt and pepper.

to make au gratin sauce add mild cheddar cheese, grated and pour over vegetables.
