Instructions: Combine first 7 ingredients in a large bowl; cut in shortening with a pastry blender until crumbly. Add buttermilk and honey, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.
Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface; knead 3 or 4 times. Pat or roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness; cut with a 3-inch round cutter, and place on lightly greased baking sheets. Bake biscuits at 450 for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Yield: 2 dozen. Email this Recipe:
