1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 cup margarine or butter, softened
2 tbl honey
1 x egg white
1 cup Pillsbury BEST All Purpose Flour, or Unbleached Flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 cup quick cooking rolled oats
1 cup crisp rice cereal
1 cup raisins
Instructions:
Instructions: In this recipe, weve combined traditional granola ingredients such as oats, sunflower seeds, raisins, honey and spices and created a wholesome, nutritious bar. When stored in an airtight container, they will stay soft and moist for several days.

Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease 13x9-inch pan or spray with nonstick cooking spray. In large bowl, combine brown sugar, margarine, honey and egg white; beat until well blended. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off. Add flour, cinnamon and baking powder; mix well. Stir in oats, cereal, raisins and sunflower seeds. Press mixture firmly in bottom of greased pan.

Bake at 350 degrees F. for 14 to 18 minutes or until edges are light golden brown and center appears set. Cool completely. Cut into bars. Store in tightly covered container.

Makes 36 bars.

HIGH ALTITUDE - Above 3500 Feet: No change.

VARIATION:
CHOCOLATE-TOPPED GRANOLA BARS: In small saucepan, combine 1/4 semisweet chocolate chips and 1 teaspoon shortening. Cook and stir over low heat until melted and smooth. Drizzle over cooled, baked bars.
