Instructions: Soak the germ in the water for 5 minutes.
Gently strain the husky part with a strainer, saving the water. Transfer back the water to the wheat germ. Add salt, stir. Put to boil and stir continuously till boiling stage is received. Partially cover and cook on low till the germ is fully cooked. Stir frequently in between, adding more water if required. When pressed between the thumb and finger, the germ should break easily. Then it is done. Serve hot with sweetened milk or if desired with salted curd or buttermilk. Best when fevers, sore throats, make swallowing difficult.
