Instructions: Mix lard, eggs and sugar, set aside. Mix flour, salt and cocoa together.

Add to lard mixture alternately with sour milk. Last add hot water and baking soda. Drop on cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Frost when cool and stick 2 together.

Filling:
Beat 2 egg whites. Add the vanilla, milk and 2 cups of the powdered sugar. Beat thoroughly. Add 2 more cups powdered sugar and Crisco. Mix well.
