Instructions: Peel onions; cut into wedges. Peel carrots and parsnips; cut into thick slices. Scrub and trim turnips; cut into large cubes.
To microwave, combine onions, carrots, and turnips in a pan with 1/2 cup of water; cover and microwave on full power for 8 minutes. Add parsnips and stir; cook 13 minutes or until all vegetables are fork tender, stirring once during cooking time. To steam, combine the onions, carrots, and turnips in a rack. Place over boiling water; cover tightly and steam 10 minutes. Add parsnips, cover and steam 16 minutes or until tender. Meanwhile, saute pine nuts in margarine for 1 minute, add garlic, saute 1 minute. Drain vegetables and top with sauteed pine nuts. Squeeze lemon juice over the vegetables; sprinkle with parsley.
