Instructions: Line two 12-cup cupcake pans with paper liners. Place the batter in the pans and bake according to the package directions; let cool.
In a medium bowl, combine the frosting and green food color; mix well. Using a serrated knife, cut the sugar cones in half crosswise; reserve the wide halves for another use. Using the frosting as a glue, attach the pointed bottom half of each sugar cone to a chocolate wafer, forming witches hats. Frost the cupcakes with the remaining frosting and place a witchs hat on top of each cupcake. Make eyes by pushing 2 pieces of candy corn pointed side up into each cupcake, and lay one candy corn flat to make each nose. Serve or cover loosely until ready to use. This recipe yields 24 cupcakes. Comments: The leftover sugar cones are great broken up and used as an ice cream topping. Yield: 24 cupcakes Email this Recipe:
