Instructions: Pour one cup of warm tomato juice (room temperature) into bread machine pan. Empty Eagle Mills Best Loaf White, Italian, or French bread mix into bread machine pan on top of the tomato juice. Pour contents of Red Star yeast packet into bread machine pan on top of mix.

Add the 3/4 cup sliced hot peppers to the dough at the second knead cycle. If using canned or pickled peppers, drain all liquid before adding to machine.

This recipe yields a 1 1/2 pound loaf.

Comments: Substitute sweet peppers if a milder taste is preferred. Great for toasted cheese sandwiches!
