Instructions: Melt butter in a heavy skillet or an electric frypan. Place quail in skillet, breast sid up. Cook quail, covered, at medium to medium-high heat for ten minutes.
Combine remaining ingredients in small saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves. Pour this sauce over quail and simmer, covered, for 15 minutes. There is no need to salt and pepper as soy sauce contains adequate seasoning. Allow 2 birds per serving. Email this Recipe:
