1 x baked pastry shell
1 env Knox gelatin
1/4 cup cold water
----------------- Pumpkin mixture: ----------------
2 x eggs yolks (reserve whites, see below)
1 cup milk
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup pumpkin, canned
1/2 tsp cloves
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp nutmeg
----------------- Egg white mixture: ----------------
2 x egg whites (from above)
1/2 cup white sugar
Dash of salt
Instructions:
Instructions: Mix gelatin and cold water and set aside.

Stir pumpkin mixture with wire whisk. Cook in double boiler or iron skillet about half an hour. Add gelatin; stir until dissolved. Set aside to cool.

Beat egg whites until stiff and add sugar, salt and vanilla. Fold into cold pumpkin mixture.

Pour mixture into baked pastry shell and garnish with walnut halves. Keep in refrigerator until ready to serve.
