Instructions: You can slice them crosswise in you processor and:
1. Lightly saute them with margrine and seasoned. 2. Use them instead of cucumbers in salads 3. Arrange them in a greased pie pan in alternating layers with seasoned breadcrumbs. Then combine a small carton of egg subsitute mixed with half as much fat free half & half, salt & pepper and bake. 4. Deep fry them in super hot oil, salt & drain for chips. 5. Stir-fry on high with garlic, mushrooms, scallions and tofu Sprinkle with soy sauce, stir again, Lower flame to medium, cover and steam 5 to 8 minutes. You can shred them and: 1. Add to chopped meat with onions and seasoning. 2. Saute with onions & or cheese, salt & pepper and add beaten eggs for a fritata. 3. Stir them into sour cream with salt & pepper to fill crepes. 4. Add them along with processor chopped onions, muchrooms and what ever else is going limp in your frig. Saute with lightly with seasoning, add eggs or egg subsitute, cheese and bread crumbs. Form into Patties or scrape into a loaf pan and bake. 5. Saute with shredded onions & chopped mushrooms in walnut oil with salt, pepper and garlic. Pour over cooked pasta. You can cut them length wise into half inch thick sticks and: 1. Dip them into eggs or egg subsitute, then into flavored bread crumbs mixed with dry bittled parmasian and bake or fry. 2. Saute them with carrot sticks with salt, pepper & a little nutmeg for a side dish. 3. Use them as a crudite 4. Wrap them in super thin bologna slices spread with dijon and spear with a toothpick as an hors deuvre 5. Marinate in bottled Italian dressing for a few hours.
